Colleyville Heritage High School junior Aiden Tokarski won two individual state swimming titles in the 200 and 500 meter freestyle events, while also breaking two new school records in these events with a time of 1:37.59 in the 200 and 4:26.66 in the 500. Two GCISD seniors have been recognized as 2025 QuestBridge National College Match recipients, earning full four-year scholarships to prestigious universities. Grapevine High School senior Safa Fatima received a full scholarship to attend Yale University, while GCISD Collegiate Academy senior Erick Sanchez Martinez earned a full scholarship to Rice University through the QuestBridge National College Match program. Grapevine High School head baseball coach, Jimmy Webster, was named the National High School Baseball Coaches Association Coach of the Year for Region 6 for the second straight year. Webster led the Mustangs to a second consecutive state title, becoming the first UIL 5A team to win back-to-back state championships since Fort Bend Elkins High School in the 2002 and 2003 seasons.
