On October 31, Grapevine High School boys cross country team competed at the UIL 5A state championship and won their fourth state title in program history.
All five scoring runners finished within the top 25 as individuals, including two top ten places by senior Andrew Deyoung, coming in eighth place, and junior Juan Gallegos taking 10th place.
On their way to the state meet, GHS won both the regional and district championships and notably took first place in the large-school division at the Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
All four GCISD teams qualified for the state meet, and all four placed in the top 15.
Congratulations to GHS Cross Country on another state championship!
