Pay From Your Phone!

Parents! You can now download myschoolbucks at the apple or android store on your smart device. You can make online prepayments and view your child's transactions.

In addition to accepting cash and checks for school meals, GCISD offers parents the option of making online credit card payments for student meals through myschoolbucks.com. To set up an account, download the Parent Guide.

How It Works

Parents may make online payments to their child's meal account with a credit card at any time of the day or night, seven days a week. (Payments made when school is not in session will be processed on the next school day.) There is a $3.25 processing fee. Parents may pay with cash or check at any school with no processing fee. To make online payments, parents will need:

  • Visa, Mastercard or Discover

  • Child's 6 or 7-digit student ID number

Due to limitations with myschoolbucks.com we are unable to accept e-checks, we apologize for the inconvenience.

Transactions made prior to 10 am will post to the meal account the same day. Payments made after 10 am will post the next school day.

Request for an online refund will be processed in the form of a check. All refund requests must be submitted in writing by email to child.nutrition@gcisd.net

Parents can sign up to view student transaction reports at no cost. If you need assistance with the meal account, please call 817-251-5617.

If you have any questions, please call the customer service department 1-855-832-5226

Student Unpaid Meal Charges

Procedure for Students with Unpaid Meal Charges

Parents/Guardians shall monitor their student’s school meal account to ensure that they always have a positive balance. In the event that a student does not have a positive balance, the student may charge up to  6 meals to their account. Only reimbursable meals may be charged. A la carte items may not be charged. Communication about a negative meal balance will be sent to parents/guardians via email.  Students who have exceeded the  6 charged meal limit, will be offed an alternative meal that will be charged to the student’s account.

Parents/Guardians are encouraged to sign up to monitor and manage their student’s meal account through myschoolbucks.com website. Benefits include:
• Low-balance email alerts
• Monitor account balances
• View meal transactions
• Set up automatic payments
• Pay online with a nominal convenience fee
• Myschoolbucks has a free mobile app that is available for both iPhone and android users in the app store or play store

Additionally cash or check payments are accepted at the school cafeteria.

Nutrition Services will email a negative balance notice to the email address on record through Skyward once a week until there is a positive balance in the account. Also, parents can receive email alerts based on the low balance threshold the parents select through My School Bucks.
