Coach Edwards

On October 29, Colleyville Heritage High School Head Football Coach Jerry Edwards was named the UIL 5A Coach of the Week by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football.

“It's an honor to be recognized for a state award and the spotlight it shines on Colleyville Heritage High School. This is a team award for all our coaches, players, school, and community,” said Edwards on this achievement.

The Panthers are currently 5-3 with three straight wins, including a nail-biting overtime win against Arlington Seguin High School.

“We talk to our kids every week to be steady in the moment. Never get too high or too low during a game. Be steady, play the next play and good things will happen,” said Edwards. “They have bought into that mindset and when games get close, they find a way to stay steady and bring home the win.”

Tonight, CHHS will take on Burleson High School in hopes of continuing their season into the state playoffs.

“I have been proud of how all our kids have stepped up in different moments during the season to help our team reach its goals,” said Edwards. “Several kids have put the needs of our team first to help us have success on the field.”

Congratulations, Coach Edwards!
