ACT Perfect Score

Grapevine High School junior Carson Ramsey has earned a perfect score of 36 on the ACT, achieved during the October 2025 administration of the exam.

Ramsey learned of his ACT results during the school day after mom emailed his teacher, asking him to call home.

“I was pretty stunned at first,” he said when mom shared the news. “It took me a moment.”

Soon, that moment turned into celebration as he returned to class where his teacher congratulated him on the remarkable news, especially since in the fall Ramsey scored a 1580 on the SAT, just shy of the exam’s perfect score of 1600.

Interested in space and science, Ramsey plans to major in mechanical engineering and pursue a career in aerospace. He hopes to one day work for NASA, an organization that he already has a connection with after being selected for the space agency’s Aerospace Scholars program. Students chosen for the program participate in authentic STEM learning experiences, engaging in NASA missions and preparing to become the next generation of explorers.

At Grapevine High School, Ramsey is involved in several academic organizations, including Science Olympiad, Academic Decathlon, math and science clubs, and National Spanish Honor Society.

Beyond campus, he also participates in the ACE (architecture, construction and engineering) national program, which connects high school students with industry professionals for team projects, workplace internships or summer camps.

When asked how GHS has helped him prepare to succeed, Ramsey didn’t hesitate.

“Grapevine High School and the ASPIRE program have been really good for me as a student,” Ramsey said. “They have good teachers and many advanced classes that put skills to use.”

Congratulations to Carson on this outstanding academic achievement!
