  • Grapevine High School Baseball defeated Lucas Lovejoy High School 6-5 to win the 2024 UIL 5A State Championship.

  • Grapevine High School students Emilia and Sara Gyöergy on their well-deserved victory in the UIL 5A Girls Doubles State Championship.

  • Stephen Hamrick, Colleyville Heritage High’s P.E./health teacher and the school’s head basketball coach earned the Class 5A Don Coleman Outstanding Coach Award.

  • The Colleyville Heritage High School Wind and Percussion Ensemble has been selected to perform at the Music for All National Festival in Indianapolis, Indiana.

  • Colleyville Heritage High School and Grapevine High School landed in the Top 25 Standings of the 2023 UIL Lone Star Cup 5A Conference.

  • Colleyville Heritage High School Softball advanced to the 5A UIL State Tournament for the first time in school history.

  • Grapevine High School students competed in the UIL State Academics competition where they earned several top places, including the UIL 5A State Championship in Number Sense.

  • GHS junior Adam Burlison earned two state championships in both the 1,600 and 3,200 meter events.

  • Eric Tong, a Grapevine High School junior, achieved a perfect score of 1600 on the SAT.

  • Five GCISD students received superior ratings and medals for their ceramic pieces and paintings in the State Visual Arts and Scholastic Events (VASE) Contest

  • The Grapevine High School Rocket League Red Team finished in third at the Texas Scholastic Esports Federation (TexSEF) State Championship.

  • GCISD has been honored for the tenth year as one of the Best Communities for Music Education. 

  • The Grapevine High School girls soccer team won the UIL Class 5A State Championship.

  • The Grapevine High School Competitive Robotics team won the bronze medal at the First Tech Challenge UIL State Championship held March 24, 2023.

  • Eleven CHHS and GHS students competed at the Texas Science and Engineering Fair (TXSEF).

  • GHS Coach Rick Miller was awarded the 2022 UIL Sponsor Excellence Award. 

  • More than 80 GCISD students from Colleyville Heritage and Grapevine high schools advanced to compete at the state DECA competition and 19 returned as first place champions.

  • Glenhope fourth grader Cayden Sirirak advanced to compete at the regional spelling bee hosted by TCU where he came in third.

  • Grapevine High School wrestler Ivory Truitt won an individual state championship in the 107 lbs. division. 

  • Grapevine Middle School (GMS) was named a 2022-2023 ITEEA STEM School of Excellence.
