This morning, the fire alarm was going off at GCISD's Transportation Building as bus drivers were arriving. The fire department is on the scene and staff is currently waiting for the all clear. However, all bus routes across the district will be delayed this morning. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

For our last Principals Month Highlight of the week, we want to introduce you to Mr. Schilleci of O.C. Taylor Elementary School. His favorite part of being a principal is being able to serve and have a positive impact on so many teachers and students.

Join us at the Professional Development & Education Center (PDEC) on October 25 at 6:30 p.m. for our next Parent Tech Night. GCISD's Chief Technology Officer Kyle Berger will discuss apps that impact student's lives. You will learn about different apps and their features, potential risks, and how to discuss these apps with your children.

Take the test by walking through an interactive display at the “Hidden in Plain Sight Presentation '' from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 24 at GCISD’s PDEC. This presentation is only for parents. An interactive display will be available from 6-6:30 p.m. followed by a parent presentation from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and a panel discussion from 7:30-8 p.m.

Tip #2: Watch for alternating flashing yellow and red lights and stop signs. These are signs that the bus is about to stop.


Are you ready for GCISD’s annual College and Career Night? On October 17 from 7-8:30 p.m., Grapevine High School will host over 120 universities, many junior colleges and technical schools, as well as members from the military. #WeAreGCISD
