This week is School Psychology Week, and we want to thank our school psychologists for all they do for our students. Our psychologists work with staff to help students be more successful in their academics, behavioral choices, social skills, and emotional management. Working collaboratively with parents and staff, they examine issues that may contribute to student difficulties and then develop and provide interventions and supports specific to each student and situation. Our psychologists are an integral part of our schools.

Today is our last Principals Month shoutout, and it goes to Principal Knutz of Collegiate Academy. Her favorite part of being principal is creating a culture of acceptance, relationships and accountability. Thank you, Principal Knutz, for all you do for your students and staff. #WeAreGCISD

What college did you go to? University of Oklahoma, University of Texas at Arlington & Lehman College City University of New York What do you like about being a principal? I love creating a culture built on acceptance, relationships and accountability that provides students a pathway to academic success. What's the best advice you've ever received? Never run from something, run towards something, and you will always be happy! If you could pick up a new skill in an instant, what would it be? I would like to have the skill to make everyone realize you might disagree with someone, but you can always be kind.
Thank you to the Grapevine-Colleyville Education Foundation for sponsoring last night’s Junior Captain Matthew Ecklar. He did a great job delivering the game ball and assisting with the coin toss! #WeAreGCISD
