On November 6, Grapevine High School defeated Lubbock Cooper High School three sets to one to win the regional semifinal game.

“I’m incredibly proud of our athletes and our program. The last month really revealed their depth and desire to win,” said GHS Head Coach Robyn Wallace. “They found ways to fight through adversity and injuries, kept trusting the process, and have truly grown together as a family.”

The Mustangs will head to the UIL 5A Division 2 Region 1 championship game for the first time since 2021, when they defeated Amarillo Randall High School three sets to two.

“The opportunity to compete for a regional championship is special,” Wallace shared. “This group started their journey back in January, and now that we’re here, it’s about pulling together, having fun and competing.”

GHS will take on the winner of Argyle High School versus Abilene Wylie High School in the regional championship game on November 10 or 11, with the location, start time and ticket information yet to be determined. More details will be provided as updates emerge.
