ew Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Superintendent Dr. Jason Adams is launching a communitywide Listening Tour to hear directly from the people who know the district best: students, staff, families and community members.
“By leading with listening, we will honor GCISD’s rich traditions, build understanding, make connections and define partnerships that will help us adapt for the future. Together, we will build a path forward through relationships that reflect and support the distinct needs of our students, staff and community,” said Adams.
Listening Tour sessions will be held throughout September and October and will center on three questions:
What should GCISD continue doing?
What should GCISD stop doing?
What should GCISD start doing?
Feedback gathered will help inform GCISD’s short and long-term priorities while building greater understanding, strengthening relationships and building upon the district’s continued legacy of excellence.
Listening Tour sessions will be held throughout September and October with staff and student opportunities to be held at campuses. Sessions will also be held for parent and community organizations. Two communitywide sessions that are open to any member of the community will be held in October:
Wednesday, October 8, at 6 p.m.
Grapevine High School cafeteria
Monday, October 19, at 6 p.m.
Colleyville Heritage High School cafeteria
Community members may attend whichever location is most convenient. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP online to help the district plan appropriately.
