State championships and top finishes in University Interscholastic League (UIL) competitions propelled Grapevine High School to a Top 10 finish and Colleyville Heritage High School among the top 25% of 250 schools in the 2025-2026 Lone Star Cup Conference 5A standings.

High schools are awarded points based on their team performance in UIL-sanctioned academic, athletic and music championships.

Grapevine High School finished 10th with 72 points. The Mustangs were led by state championships in boys cross country and mixed doubles tennis and a girls soccer state semifinal appearance. Additional points came from strong performances at the UIL Academic State Meet and in volleyball, girls basketball, boys soccer, cheer, robotics, and girls cross country.

Colleyville Heritage High School tied for 55th place with 37 points. The Panthers earned points across a variety of UIL competitions, including finishing as a regional finalist in girls and boys soccer, a fifth place showing by the honor band at state, and postseason success in volleyball, football, girls and boys basketball, girls golf, softball, baseball and cheer.
