The Grapevine High School softball team swept another team on its road to state. GHS faced Joshua High School and won in two rounds to claim the Area Champions title. They now advance to the regional semifinal round of the UIL 5A Division II playoffs.
Head coach Christina Gwyn said the team is ready for the next round. “We set out this year to work hard with the mission of making it past the first round of playoffs, but once we got there, we realized we are capable of so much more. Advancing to the third round is beyond exciting, and we are blessed to continue on this journey together.”
Good luck to the Mustangs as they take on Del Valle High School from El Paso.
