Winning state championships and top places in University Interscholastic League academics, athletic and fine arts competitions propelled Colleyville Heritage High School and Grapevine High School to land in the 2023 UIL Lone Star Cup program 5A Conference Top 25 Standings.

Standings are based on an accumulation of points based on overall team achievement at the district and state level in a variety of UIL-sanctioned academic, athletic and fine arts competitions

CHHS tied for 19th in the standings with 62 points, while GHS tied for ninth with 72 points.

Some of the 2022-2023 UIL state championships and top finishes by CHHS and GHS include:

  • UIL Academics Competition - 5A State Champions in Number Sense (GHS); individual top places;

  • UIL Cross Country - 5A Boys Cross Country State Champions (GHS); 5A Girls Cross Country, Fourth Place Team (CHHS); 5A Girls Cross Country Fifth Place Team (GHS); individual top place places

  • UIL Golf - Individual state championship (GHS)

  • UIL Robotics - 5A State Third Place Team (GHS)

  • UIL Soccer - 5A Girls Soccer State Champions (GHS)

  • UIL Softball - 5A State Semifinalist (CHHS)

  • UIL Spirit - 5A D2 State Sixth Place (GHS); 5A D2 State 15th Place (CHHS)

  • UIL Swim and Dive - 5A Boys Swim and Dive Ninth Place (GHS); individual top places (boys and girls)

  • UIL Track and Field - Individual state champion (GHS); individual top places 

  • UIL Volleyball - 5A State Champions (CHHS)

  • UIL Wrestling - Individual state champion (GHS); individual top places (boys and girls)
