Special Education Services
The Department of Special Education provides individualized services, both related and instructional.
Related Services
Related services are defined as transportation and such developmental, corrective, and other supportive services required to assist a child with a disability to benefit from special education. Related services included, but are not limited to:
Assistive Technology
Counseling Services
Interpreting Services
School Health Services (including assistance with health-related needs during the school day, e.g. catheterization)
Medical Services (only to diagnose or evaluate a student’s disability)
Music Therapy
Occupational Therapy
Orientation and Mobility Services
Parent Counseling and Training
Physical Therapy
Psychological Services
Recreation
Rehabilitation Counseling Services
Transportation Services
Instructional Services
