The Department of Special Education provides individualized services, both related and instructional.

Related services are defined as transportation and such developmental, corrective, and other supportive services required to assist a child with a disability to benefit from special education. Related services included, but are not limited to:

• Assistive Technology

• Counseling Services 

• Interpreting Services

• School Health Services (including assistance with health-related needs during the school day, e.g. catheterization)

• Medical Services (only to diagnose or evaluate a student’s disability)

• Music Therapy

• Occupational Therapy

• Orientation and Mobility Services

• Parent Counseling and Training

• Physical Therapy

• Psychological Services

• Recreation

• Rehabilitation Counseling Services

• Transportation Services

• Adaptive Physical Education

• Assistive Technology

• Auditory Services

• In-Home Training

• Speech / Language Therapy

• Vision Services
