In nine out of the last ten years, GCISD has provided a compensation increase to its staff. Below is a timeline of those adjustments. Each year can be expanded to view more information.

GCISD New Hire Salary

2023-2024 - 4% Increase Based on Midpoint of Pay Grade for All Employees; Addition of Wellness Leave Day

2022-2023 - 2% Increase Based on Midpoint for Teachers, Nurses, and Librarians; 1% Increase Based on Midpoint for All Other Employees

2021-2022 - 2% Cost of Living Increase Based on Midpoint of Pay Grade for All Employees; Additional Increase of at least $600 to Staff on Teacher Pay Structure

2020-2021 - 1% Cost of Living Increase Based on Midpoint of Pay Grade for All Employees

2019-2020 - Teachers, Nurses, Counselors and Librarians All Received at Least $2,000 Pay Increase + All Other Employees Received a 2% Increase Based on Midpoint of Pay Grade

2018-2019 - 2.5% Cost of Living Increase Based on Midpoint of Pay Grade + Equity Adjustments

2017-2018 - 2% Cost of Living Increase

2016-2017 - 2% Cost of Living Increase Based on Midpoint of Pay Grade

2014-2015 - 2% Cost of Living Increase Based on Midpoint of Pay Grade + Equity Adjustments
