❤️ O.C. Taylor rallied around one of their fourth grade classmates, Emily, who was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. The school’s Kindness Squad organized “Brave Like Emily Week” for the entire campus, including Twin Day to show that the school is united as one big team; Heartfelt Hero Day celebrating courage; and Pink Power to celebrate Emily’s strength and the power of friendship. On Wednesday, they held a drive through parade where everyone wore the school’s color orange while students chanted “Brave like Emily” as she made her way through. ❤️💪🌸

Update 2:27 p.m.: Glenhope Elementary plans to complete the day in a “Secure,” but to better coordinate our process, we will operate under our rainy day dismissal procedures. Please allow additional time for more traffic. Extended Day Program (EDP) will operate as normal. Update 2:06 p.m.: Glenhope remains in a “Secure” but is making plans to have a normal dismissal. Update 1:49 p.m.: Glenhope remains in a “Secure” as two local fire departments have now responded to the structure fire near our school. There is no threat to the campus, and GHES continues to conduct business as usual. Twelve Oaks Ln. from Pool Rd. is not accessible at this time. Avoid this area and do not come to the campus as visitors will not be granted access to the school. Original Post: Glenhope is in a “Secure” while the Colleyville Fire Department responds to a structure fire in the neighborhood. When Secure is called, students and staff remain inside the building and conduct business as usual. Exterior doors are locked and visitors will not be granted access to the school. We will update you once we have more information. Thank you.

Cannon Elementary fifth graders showcased their science, technology, engineering and mathematics skills in the school's First Lego League (FLL) robotics competition on Thursday, April 24. Teams Robo H20, Robots “R” Us, Tech 40, and Aquatic Bots built and coded robots to conquer challenges within 2 1/2 minutes. In the end, Aquatic Bots emerged as the top team, but the competition showcased all of the students’ critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration skills!
