Happy School Nurse Day! Today, we recognize the amazing nurses across GCISD who keep our students healthy, safe and ready to learn. From caring for injuries and managing chronic conditions to performing health screenings, our school nurses are true heroes in every sense.

Thank you to everyone who came out for Walk a Mile 2026 yesterday! A special shout out to community partner Baylor Scott & White for providing their experts who shared information about children’s health topics and gave out children’s bike helmets–for free.

Ivy W., Greyson H., and Ava H. performed with the Region 31 MS/JH All-Region Choir this year and did an amazing job! HMS and Ms. Alotto are proud of these Broncos for their hard work, talent, musicianship and for representing our Choir program so well! #BroncoChampions
HMS Band UIL Success!
Congratulations to both the Honors and Symphonic bands for receiving unanimous 1st division ratings from every judge at UIL over the last few days! In band, we get to choose the level of difficulty of music that we perform for our ratings, and this year's honors band was able to pull off a grade 5 piece of music which is usually only played by high school varsity bands. One of our judges wrote "What an outstanding ensemble. Ridiculous for this level...so mature and of the highest quality. A super difficult program which took a superior level of teaching and elite players to accomplish. I really appreciate everything it took for you to perform at this level."
Please congratulate the honors and symphonic band students when you see them!
