On Friday, March 27, Colleyville Heritage High School and Grapevine High School girls soccer teams competed in the regional semifinals of their respective UIL 5A state championship playoffs. Both teams won to advance to the regional championship game.
CHHS defeated Amarillo High School 2-1 with goals from junior Addison Shimmick and freshman Reagan Yearian. This is the third year in a row that the Lady Panthers have reached the regional finals.

GHS won their matchup against Wichita Falls Memorial High School 1-0 with an early goal in the first half scored by senior Hope Harvill and assisted by sophomore Paola Granados, sending the Lady Mustangs to their sixth straight regional final appearance. GHS will face Argyle High School, which they previously defeated twice this season in district play.

CHHS girls vs. Burleson Centennial High School, at 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 31, at Crowley ISD Multipurpose Stadium. Tickets: CHHS vs BCHS.
GHS girls vs. Argyle High School, at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 31, at Northwest ISD Stadium. Ticket information will be provided when available.
