Today at the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce Economic Development meeting, Representative Giovanni Capriglione issued a proclamation on behalf of the State of Texas recognizing February as CTE Month and commending CTE programs for their dedicated efforts to ensure our students are college and career ready.

Starting March 4, the SMART Tag student ridership system will have an app version available for download via the Apple App Store or Google Play. With the app, parents can:

Last week, 10 Cross Timbers Middle School students competed in the Regional Championships of The Great History Challenge. This event lets students compete head-to-head to be the first to "buzz in" and answer questions about history. Congratulations to these wise wolves who used their knowledge to qualify for a chance to compete at Nationals in May. #WeAreGCISD

The District is offering community bond presentations for anyone who lives or works in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. Informational presentations will be given by GCISD staff, and residents will have an opportunity to ask questions. #WeAreGCISD

GCISD students, excluding Collegiate Academy and iUniversity Prep, will not have school on Friday, February 16, since the inclement weather make-up day is not needed. They will also be off on Monday, February 19, for a staff professional development day. Collegiate Academy remains in session on Friday, February 16, and Monday, February 19. iUniversity Prep is in session on Friday, February 16, but not Monday, February 19.
