Congratulations to the UIL Academics state qualifiers from Collegiate Academy and Grapevine High School who were recognized at last night’s Board meeting. At state, they delivered top notch performances, returning with eight individual honors and three team awards.
Outgoing Interim Superintendent Rick DeMasters was also recognized for his service to GCISD since December 2025, as the search for a new superintendent was underway. GCISD is grateful to Mr. DeMasters for his steady and supportive leadership throughout the last six months!

Colleyville Middle School, Cross Timbers Middle School, and Heritage Middle School won first, second and third places, respectively, at the recent Texas Music Educators Association regional competition. The competition involves judges evaluating audio recordings of the band’s concerts from the school year. Next up in the competition: Area, to be held Wednesday and Thursday, June 17 and 18.



Three GCISD Career and Technical Education students were recognized this morning for completing the Future Leaders Public Safety program this school year through their Law Enforcement Practicum class.

In observance of the Juneteenth federal holiday next week, GCISD will operate on regular business hours with the normal summer closure on Friday, June 19. The administration building will be open 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday, June 15, through Thursday, June 18.

This is the second year that Wise Guys has provided our students a real-world experience in creating a menu item, along with pricing and marketing.

Today, our incredible Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Council of PTAs hosted its annual appreciation event for district staff. Thank you to them and to partnering sponsor Classic Chevrolet. We appreciate your support!
Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Collegiate Academy finished off a great week of Camp Collegiate with Signing Day on Thursday, May 28. Students from the Classes of 2029 and 2030 were welcomed all week long with activities to build connections, learn about campus culture and introduce them to a pathways tracker to ensure they are on the path to earn an associate degree by graduation. On Signing Day, the students officially signed on the dotted line in front of families, friends, CA students and staff.
iUniversity Prep celebrated the Class of 2026 graduation on Saturday. Congratulations to all of the graduates and may your futures shine bright!
Reminder: GCISD administrative summer operating hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with offices closed Fridays. Summer hours continue through July.

GCISD Career and Technical Education floral design students and their teacher brightened the day at Solstice Senior Living in Grapevine on Friday. They delivered eight remaining floral arrangements after the school year ended. The idea was suggested by one of the students. What a kind gesture!
