The superintendent shall provide the administration’s recommendation for library materials acquisition to the Board no later than 30 calendar days before the order for such materials is to be placed. The District shall post the administration’s recommendation for library materials acquisition to the District’s website no later than 25 calendar days before the order for such materials is to be placed. For library acquisition procedures, please refer to EFB(LOCAL).

During a review period, district administrators, librarians, teachers, other District employees, parents, students, and/or residents of the District, as appropriate, may make a written objection with respect to any item on the library materials acquisition list posted on the District's website. Such written objection must be made using this form provided by the District and must be made no later than 15 calendar days before the order for such materials is to be placed. Following these review periods, the District shall place an order for any library acquisition materials on the list to which no written objection has been made and for any library acquisition materials on the list for which the District has resolved the written objection with a determination that such material is in compliance with this policy.
