Heritage Middle School hosted an inspiring and interactive Career Fair on Friday, May 9th, where 47 professionals from diverse industries shared their knowledge, experiences, and insights with eager students. This annual event aimed to spark curiosity, encourage exploration, and provide students with a deeper understanding of various career paths.

The Career Fair featured a wide range of professionals, including healthcare workers, engineers, realtors, business owners, law enforcement officers, scientists, and many more. Each presenter engaged students with hands-on activities, live demonstrations, and open discussions, allowing students to gain firsthand experience in various fields.

"Our goal is to provide students with meaningful exposure to a variety of careers so they can start thinking about their future with excitement and confidence," said Sheila Shimmick, Principal of Heritage Middle School. "We are grateful to all 47 presenters who took the time to inspire and educate our students."

Students had the opportunity to explore career options they may not have previously considered and ask questions directly to the professionals. Feedback from both students and presenters was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the event’s interactive format and diverse representation of careers.

The Career Fair was a collaborative effort organized by HMS Learning Liaison Chessa Timoszyk, HMS Librarian Audra Quetzal, and the AVID Elective Teachers—Lindsey Baca, Melissa Vickers, and Kareena Slayton—along with the support of Heritage Middle School’s administration, faculty, and parent volunteers, who worked together to ensure a well-organized and enriching experience for all participants.
