GCISD students won eight individual awards and three team awards at the state UIL Academic Contest held May 18-19 at the University of Texas Austin. Collegiate Academy competed in UIL 3A, while Grapevine High School competed in 5A. Congratulations!

Team awards are based on points awarded in individual contest categories. In most individual contests, points are awarded to first through sixth places. Sweepstakes awards are presented in each UIL division to schools with the most points across all state academic events.
