Today, GCISD Collegiate Academy was recognized by the Texas State Board of Education in Austin for earning the National Blue Ribbon School distinction, announced earlier this school year. With the accumulation of snow today, and anticipated below-freezing temperatures overnight, Grapevine-Colleyville ISD will be closed Friday, January 10, 2025. All facilities will be closed and any scheduled practices and activities are also canceled. Any changes to weekend extracurricular activities will be communicated by the group’s sponsor or coach.
GCISD’s 2024-2025 instructional calendar has a sufficient number of minutes to cover this weather-related closure and the days will not have to be made up. Have a safe and warm weekend, and we look forward to welcoming our staff and students back on Monday, January 13!

Breaking news: October's Phoenixes on Fire! First, we recognize Emily Tello Zapata for vision and perseverance. Emily is dedicated to achieving her goals and has developed a clear vision. She exemplifies perseverance and has demonstrated significant growth in pursuing her future.
Our final Phoenix on Fire for October is Ruhani Nellutla for Hard Work. Ruhani is 100% in on everything she does. She works hard in all her classes and always has a positive attitude!
Next up for our October Phoenixes on Fire is Ramiro Anaya, who is being recognized for his Gratitude! Ramiro is very polite and shows appreciation when he receives help from teachers. He is always looking for ways to help others.
The next October Phoenix on Fire Award goes to Sheyla Perez for her hard work! Sheyla consistently takes charge of her education and remains focused and driven, always looking for ways to improve herself.
