Place 5 - Jesse G. Rodríguez



Jesse G. Rodríguez was elected to Place 5 on the GCISD Board of Trustees in May 2002 and has been re-elected five times, in May 2005, May 2008, May 2011, May 2014, and May 2017. He is a Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Master Trustee - Class of 2004 graduate, and is currently serving as a Master Trustee on the GCISD Board. Rodríguez has previously served as president of the GCISD Board for 2008- 2009, vice president of the Board for 2009-2010 & 2010-2011, and Board secretary for the 2011- 2012 school year. He has also served as Vice President for the North Texas Area Association of School Boards (NTAASB) and is currently serving as President of the organization.

Rodríguez holds a master’s degree in School Administration as well as mid-management and superintendent’s certifications. He has experience in education – both in the classroom as a high school teacher and in administration as a middle school administrator. He has been an owner and director of a private preschool in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Mid-cities and Regional Vice President of Sales for several major publishing, technology, and assessment companies. Currently, he is Regional Director for Strategic Accounts for Achieve3000.

Rodríguez and his wife have lived in the Grapevine-Colleyville area for 27 years, Their two sons are both graduates of Grapevine High School. Rodriguez has served with various school district and community organizations throughout his career. He is a member of Leadership TASB Class of 2004, served on the district’s LEAD 2021 Strategic Planning Committee, member of the Executive Board for Latinos Unidos of Fort Worth, and was a member of the advisory steering committee for the Research Lab at Tarleton State University. He has also served on the Grapevine-Colleyville Education Foundation Board of Directors, the Glenhope Elementary Campus Excellence Committee, Glenhope PTA Executive Board, president of the Glenhope Dads’ Club, and is a recipient of the Grapevine- Colleyville Council of PTAs Friend of Children award. Rodríguez also served on GCISD’s Budget Review Stakeholder Committee, has been a director of ARTSNET (formally the Arts Council of North East Tarrant County), and a member of the Chambers of Commerce for both Colleyville and Grapevine. He is also a member of the Colleyville Lions Club and the Grapevine Rotary Club.
