Grapevine-Colleyville ISD has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International. GCISD received this honor for having met or exceeded the program’s high standards for financial reporting and accountability for the fiscal year ending 2016. Earning this award showcases the district’s continued commitment to fiscal integrity.
Furthermore, GCISD was also awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association. This is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.
“The district strives to provide our community with financial accountability and transparency,” said Chief Financial Officer DaiAnn Mooney. “We achieve this by meeting high standards of financial reporting as demonstrated through this award.”
According to the ASBO website, GCISD is one of 141 school districts in the United States to participate in the Certificate of Excellence program for twenty-five years or more.
