Colleyville Heritage High School and Grapevine High School DECA members participated virtually in the Texas State Career Development Conference recently, competing against 1,800 students from across the state in various categories.
A total of 39 GCISD students were honored at the conference as either State Champions or State Finalists, including 14 State Champions who will all move on to compete at the International Career Development Conference in April. Held virtually this year, there will be over 19,000 students from across the U.S. and Canada competing at the conference.
DECA, the Distributive Education Clubs of America, prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
