GCISD hosts First Lego League Regional Qualifying Tournament

On Saturday, December 16th, GCISD hosted a First Lego League Regional Qualifying Tournament.

35 teams of middle school and elementary school students from across our region competed.

Teams competed in four areas:
Robot Games - Teams maneuver programmed robots to complete tasks on a mission field in three rounds.
Project - Teams identify a problem based on the theme- water use and conservation and present their solution to a panel of judges.
Robot Design - Teams explain the design and programming of their robot to a panel of judges.
Core Values - Teams complete a task in order to exhibit teamwork and core values.

Eleven teams represented GCISD - two from Cannon Elementary, four from Cross Timbers Middle School, and 5 from Grapevine Middle School.
