Dr. Paul Sikes has been named the new Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Director of Fine Arts. Trustees approved the appointment during the May 12 special board meeting.

“I have a strong belief in the fine arts and their ability to inspire, enrich and transform lives,” Sikes said. “For those reasons, it is important that all kids have access to high-quality fine arts programs. I am very excited to be in a District that is supportive of that idea, and I can’t wait to work with the teachers, students, parents and the whole GCISD community to make that vision a reality.”

Sikes comes to GCISD with more than 25 years of experience in fine arts and music education. Since 2016 he has served as Associate Professor of Music and Director of Instrumental Studies and Music Education at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth.
