The Colleyville Heritage High School football team will be one of four teams taking part in the Tom Landry Classic when it takes on Lovejoy High School on Saturday, August 31. CHHS and Lovejoy will kick off at 7 p.m. at Allen’s Eagle Stadium.
The Tom Landry Classic gives senior event participants (football, band, cheer, drill team, trainers, managers, etc.) the eligibility to apply for a Tom Landry Scholarship. These scholarships are funded by the Classic’s corporate partners and are awarded to students for their commitment to academic excellence, leadership among their peers, and service to their community - character traits that closely emulate those of Tom Landry.
The more Panther fans that attend, the more scholarships that CHHS students will be awarded. Tickets are $6 for students and $8 for adults in advance and can be purchased at CHHS until Noon on Thursday, August 29. At the gate, tickets will be $10. Parking is $5.
Founded in 2000, the Tom Landry Classic is one of the premier high school football events in the country and the largest high school sporting event in Texas with an average attendance of over 28,000.
