GCISD Spelling Bee Winners Announced

All GCISD elementary and middle schools hosted spelling bees, which were held November-January at the various campuses. First place winners now advance to compete in the Area Bee competition, along with Carroll ISD, which will be held on January 26 at GCISD’s Professional Development Center. Area Bee winners then advance to compete in the Dallas Regional Spelling Bee with the top two winners from that competition earning a spot to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Congratulations to the winners of GCISD’s ClassLink Digital Design Challenge hosted by the Digital Learning and Technology Services Departments. As part of the challenge, middle and high school students were invited to submit digital art based on the district’s values of “Purpose, Innovation and Community.” Winning entries will be displayed as the background on the district’s ClassLink login screen. ClassLink is GCISD’s portal where students and parents login to access the district’s apps.

GCISD Lowers Tax Rate

The Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Board of Trustees voted Monday, September 26, 2022, to reduce the tax rate for the fourth consecutive year. The 2022 total tax rate will be $1.1308 per $100 valuation for the 2022-2023 school year, which is 14.43 cents less than the total 2021 tax rate.
