Parental Input Regarding Reproduction and Sexual Health Instruction
GCISD is reviewing reproduction and sexual health instruction in light of changes made by the Texas Legislature and the adoption of a new health textbook. As GCISD considers next steps in light of these changes, we are seeking parental input and feedback.

The District has already emailed to parents a letter via Skyward that further explains legislative changes and reviews the District's current practices. On April 27, parents received a survey via Skyward to help inform the District’s next steps. We encourage parents who want to become more familiar with the District's current reproduction and sexual health instruction, and to learn about potential new instructional materials, to learn more by visiting the resources below, then complete the survey.
Video instructions on accessing the survey can be watched here.  If you plan to not opt your child into this portion of the health education curriculum, we are asking that you still complete the survey. We look forward to, and appreciate, parents' feedback. If you have questions, please contact [email protected]
