Mindy McClure was elected to Place 1 on the GCISD Board of Trustees by a majority vote in the May 5, 2018 Election with 100 percent of precincts reporting, according to unofficial results posted by Tarrant County Elections Administration on Saturday night. At the time of the last posting from the Tarrant County Elections Administration, neither candidate for Place 2 obtained the necessary majority and more information from the Tarrant County Elections Administration will be forthcoming.
In the election for Place 1, Mindy McClure received 3,350 votes (53.02%) while her opponent, Tim Raine, received 2,968 votes (46.98%). In the election for Place 2, Becky St. John received 3,143 votes (49.99%) while her opponent, Amy Putnam, received 3,136 votes (49.88%). Nick Walters, a write-in candidate, received 8 votes (0.13%).
Final results will be canvassed during an upcoming special Board meeting. During the regular monthly Board meeting, newly elected trustees will be issued the oath of office and begin their new terms on GCISD's Board of Trustees.
