We have had a great first semester and our students and staff are ready for a well-deserved break.
You may remember in August, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) released its A-F ratings for school districts. At that time, we shared with you this letter and video regarding the rating system. Now, the Commissioner of Education will report to the legislature by January 1 the letter grades TEA will assign to specific campuses.
As a district, GCISD received a letter grade of “A”, but we are not satisfied. Our culture is one of continuous improvement and innovation as we are always looking for ways to provide personalized learning opportunities for our students. Thank you to our parents, staff and community for partnering with us as we continue to Build Excellent Schools Together.
