The Grapevine High School varsity volleyball team earned runner-up honors at the UIL 5A State Tournament on November 20. The Mustangs defeated Comal Canyon in the State Semifinals, but fell to Lucas Lovejoy in the championship game.
This is the second year in a row that GHS has advanced to the UIL State Tournament under head coach, Robyn Wallace. Prior to 2020, the Mustangs had no tournament appearances.
GCISD had additional success in the UIL Playoffs with the Colleyville Heritage volleyball team advancing to the Regional Semifinals.
