Place 1 - Mindy McClure



Mindy McClure was elected to the GCISD Board of Trustees in June of 2015, and to a second term in May 2018. She served as Secretary of the Board for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 school years. Currently she is serving as Board Vice-President. She has been an active, hands-on GCISD and community volunteer for over 20 years. She has served in various roles, including classroom volunteer, PTA Board Member & Officer, GCISD Council of PTAs Board Member & Officer as well as various booster clubs at Bransford Elementary, Colleyville Elementary, Colleyville Middle and Grapevine High School.

Mindy is a recipient of the GCISD Council of PTA’s Friend of Children Award and the Council’s Texas PTA Honorary Life Membership. In the Spring of 2020, Grapevine High School PTSA honored her with the Extended Service Award. She is a 2017 graduate of the Texas Association of School Board’s Leadership TASB program, earning the distinction of Master Trustee. She has a B.A. in English from Texas A&M, Corpus Christi, and a J.D.  from Texas Tech University's School of Law.

Within our community, Mindy has been involved with the Boy Scouts in various roles—as a den leader in Pack 28, popcorn “kernel” in Pack 228, and adult volunteer and summer camp chaperone in Troop 1905. She is a member of the Colleyville Lions Club, and the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce Women’s Division. She participates in the Tarrant County Big Brothers Big Sisters 2.0 Mentorship Program. She and her husband Rick are members of Compass Christian Church. They share five children – Taylor and Emily are both HPISD grads. Craft, Chance & Jay are all GHS grads.
