The GCISD Purchasing Department has earned a rebate in the amount of $56,500 from the Texas BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative. GCISD received the rebate because of its commitment to competitive purchasing practices, and this money will return to the District's general budget to fund programs that benefit our students and staff.
GCISD’s rebate check was among the largest awarded by BuyBoard this year. Established to support and serve public schools, municipalities, counties, local government agencies, and more, the Cooperative has rebated a total of almost $70 million to members since 2006—almost $10.5 million in 2019-20 alone.
