
On Monday, May 4, during a special meeting, the GCISD Board of Trustees approved Dr. Jamie Halliburton to serve as the next principal at Cross Timbers Middle School. Dr. Halliburton currently serves as the principal at Bransford Elementary School.
“During her time in GCISD, we have watched Dr. Halliburton as she continues to grow as an educator and a leader,” said GCISD Superintendent Dr. Robin Ryan. “We are excited for her to have the opportunity to serve a larger number of students and families at Cross Timbers Middle School.”
Dr. Halliburton has served as the principal at Bransford Elementary since 2015. Prior to leading Bransford, she served as an assistant principal at Silver Lake Elementary School (2014-2015) and Heritage Elementary School (2013-2014). Her first role in GCISD was at Timberline Elementary School in 2012 where she was a third-grade teacher. Dr. Halliburton spent four years in the Hurst Euless Bedford Independent School District from 2008-2012 where she taught sixth-grade before becoming a campus instructional specialist. She began her career in Lubbock in 2000 where she taught second, fifth and sixth grades during her seven year tenure.
“Serving as the principal of Bransford Elementary for the past five years has been one of the greatest joys of my educational journey and has been an honor to learn and grow with the students, staff, and families,” said Dr. Halliburton. “I’m looking forward to joining the Wolf Pack and continuing the tradition of excellence at Cross Timbers Middle School.”
Dr. Halliburton earned her bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees from Texas Tech University. She earned her doctoral degree in educational leadership from Lamar University.
