Website Accessibility

What is website accessibility?

Grapevine-Colleyville ISD is committed to making its information and communication technologies accessible to all, including individuals with disabilities, by meeting or exceeding the requirements of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act. To meet this commitment, pages on the District website have been designed to conform to the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Level AA.

As part of this initiative, we are committed to a regular review of our District website and we will incorporate improvements, as appropriate, to better serve all users. We welcome your questions and suggestions on ways to improve the website's accessibility.

If you have trouble accessing information on the website, please contact GCISD Communication Services by email at [email protected], or by phone at 817-251-5200 (M-F, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.). If possible, it would help us to know:

  • the web address (URL) or description of where the problem occurs
  • a description of the problem you experienced
  • your contact information including name and email address

All of Grapevine-Colleyville ISD’s content is provided in HTML. Portable Document Format (PDF) versions are available for longer documents. One popular viewer for PDF files is Acrobat Reader. No endorsement is implied.

A District employee, student/parent or member of the public may contact the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) of the U.S. Department of Education to file a formal grievance under Section 504 and Title II related to accessibility of the District website.

Additional information on accessibility programs in Texas is available from the Governor's Committee on People with Disabilities.
