Trustees Tour School Improvements Funded by the 2016 Bond

Members of the GCISD Board of Trustees on Friday took a tour of several campuses to view progress on projects resulting from the May 2016 bond election. Trustees, administrators, project architect and construction management representatives made stops at Cannon Elementary: A GCISD STEM School, Grapevine Middle School, Colleyville Heritage High School’s new Multipurpose Activity Center, Heritage Middle School, Timberline Elementary, Grapevine High School and Mustang-Panther Stadium.

At Cannon Elementary, Trustees got a look at the foundation area where the new school will be located. Trustees also were shown the new secure entryways installed on a number of campuses and viewed the transformed libraries, now known as the learning commons.

Board President Lisa Pardo expressed thanks to the taxpayers of GCISD for voting to approve these new facilities. “These new learning commons areas, classroom additions and other improvements are only possible because of the support of our citizens.”
