Grapevine-Colleyville Education Foundation Receives Boeing Grant

Boeing has announced the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Education Foundation is the recipient of a $47,500 grant for Aviation Industry Motivating Student Success (AIMSS). The grant will offer an extended learning day for selected students in first through eighth-grade at Cannon Elementary and Grapevine Middle School to address instructional opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics and to provide accelerated instruction for students. The AIMSS program will target students in order to maximize their potential and retain them in the STEM program as they progress in their education.

“We are so thankful for this grant from Boeing and the GCISD Education Foundation to continue our STEM focus at Cannon Elementary and Grapevine Middle School,” said Tony Zahn, GCISD Director of Science and Instructional Technology. “This funding will provide further opportunities for students to extend their learning beyond a traditional school day and develop a deeper love for STEM learning.”
