On Monday, December 16, the GCISD Board of Trustees approved the student and staff instructional calendars for the 2020-2021 school year.
A few highlights from the 2020-2021 student instructional calendar:
- Students will begin classes on Monday, August 17.
- Students will have two three-day weekends in September and one three-day weekend in October.
- Students will have a four day weekend in November to provide for two additional staff development days during the fall semester.
- Classes end for the semester on Friday, December 18 and resume on Wednesday, January 6.
- Spring Break has moved back one week to March 15 - March 19.
- Students and staff will have two three-day weekends in April (dependent on the need to makeup one or both inclement weather days).
- Students are finished on May 27 with graduation following that afternoon and evening.
