Current Grapevine Elementary School (GES) Assistant Principal, Nancy Hale, has been named principal at GES. Trustees approved the appointment during the July 22 regularly scheduled Board meeting.
“I am overjoyed to be able to lead a campus that has been my home for the last six years,” Hale said. “I am committed to using innovative instructional strategies to promote high academic standards and I cannot wait to serve the families of Grapevine Elementary School in this new capacity.”
The search for a new principal for Grapevine Elementary began in June when Liz Hilcher transitioned to the principal of Timberline Elementary.
Hale began her career in Florida in 2007 as a classroom teacher at NorthLake Park Community School. During her time in Florida she taught third and fourth grade while also serving as a teacher mentor, campus math specialist, co-team leader and partners in education co-coordinator.
In 2013, Hale moved to Texas and started her tenure at Grapevine Elementary School as a third-grade teacher. After one year, Hale became the learning liaison where she worked with staff to support campus-wide instruction. In 2017, Hale was named assistant principal during which time she worked with staff, students and families to promote a strong campus community and positive culture.
“We are excited to name Nancy Hale as the new principal of Grapevine Elementary School,” said GCISD Superintendent Dr. Robin Ryan. “She is a respected leader in the GES community and we look forward to continued success in the upcoming year.”
Hale earned both her bachelors and masters degrees in elementary education from the University of Florida.
