Welcome to my website, I hope you have a great experience.

For those of you who do not know me, please keep reading to find out who I am.

I was born in Athens, Greece.  I moved to the United States, (Bellevue, NE) at the age of three.  My dad was in the Air Force so we moved around a lot.  I attended K, 1 and 2 in Bellevue before moving to England.  I spent three years there, attended an “English” school and eventually acquired an English accent.  The next destination was Germany.  (Je spraken se deutsch)  I spent three more years in Germany where I learned to speak German, played soccer and ate some very tasty German cuisine.  By my middle school years I had moved back to the United States where my family decided they loved Nebraska so much that they moved about 2 miles from our old house.  We were back in Bellevue where I finished my middle and high school years.  I then attended college at Wartburg College in the northeastern part of Iowa in a small town called Waverly.  I am willing to say that very few people here in Texas have heard of it.

After graduating I was hired by GCISD in 1998.  This is my 11th year of teaching.  I taught 5th grade at Cannon Elementary my first two years and then I moved to Dove to teach 4th grade for two years.  I then moved to the 5th grade and have been here ever since.

I have a two and a half year old daughter.  Her name is Sophia and she is the joy of my life.

My hobbies include reading, playing golf, watching the Mavericks and Cowboys and being a daddy to my little girl.

This is me, Mr. Brownell!
