MISSION STATEMENT

 

Our Mission as the GCISD Social Studies Community is to empower students to evaluate the relevance of the past, identify and fulfill roles and responsibilities, and appreciate the importance of a global society to ensure a productive future.

 

We accomplish our Mission by:

 

·       Identifying the GCISD Social Studies Community as students, teachers staff,        parents and citizenry

·       Broadening academic, cognitive, social and political abilities

·       Understanding historical, political, cultural, economic, and geographic        relevance

·       Demonstrating responsibility for self, school, and community
