I have enjoyed working with boys and girls as a teacher for 32 years. I began teaching in Houston I.S.D. where I taught 1st grade for 3 years. My husband and I moved to Friendswood and I taught 5th grade in Pearland I.S.D. for 6 years. In 1985 I began teaching in Friendswood I.S.D. and continued there for the next 13 years working with gifted students. We moved to Grapevine in 1998 and I became a gifted specialist at Bransford for 3 years. I have been the gifted specialist at Timberline for the past 6 years.
I graduated from Stephen F. Austin with a bachelor's degree in education and received my master's degree in education from the University of Houston.
I am married and have two sons. My husband was the principal of Grapevine High School. He retired in January. My oldest son graduated from University of North Texas and now lives in Pearland, Texas. He works for Onyx Corporation in LaPorte. My youngest son is still attending college and lives at home. My favorite hobby is running. I have participated in 3 marathons for the Leukemia Society. Last year I walked in the Breast Cancer 3-Day, 60 miles in 3 days, with my sister who is a breast cancer survivor. | |
