Course Description

This course is designed as the first of a two-year study of United States history.  The second year of the study is to be taught at the High School level.  Content allows students the opportunity to examine the growth and development of the United States from its exploration and colonization through the Civil War and Reconstruction by addressing the political, economic, religious, social, intellectual, and artistic elements of each period.  The following list provides a brief glance at the course content which will be covered through the essential elements to prepare students for real world experiences in an ever changing society.
