Classroom Rules

Procedures

 

Start of Class Routine

                 Pick up your textbook as you walk quietly in the classroom.

                 Place all belongings under your desk.

Read the TV for the day’s agenda.

Begin your assignment.

 

End of class Routine

                 When bell rings, log off your computer.

Remain quietly in your seat.

The teacher will dismiss you when your work station is orderly.

Place your textbook on the bookshelf as you leave.

 

Saving Assignments

 

Assignments will be saved in the save folder according to your class period. All assignments must be saved under the file name given by the teacher. You must also save your assignment in your Student H: Drive. It is the drive with your username next to it.

 

Working Expectations

 

Each student is expected to work diligently in class. Students will be working on the computer with keyboarding software or guided by the textbook during the class period. Unauthorized use of the internet will result in a detention.

 

Grading

 

Students will be graded on participation, lesson summaries, projects, tests, and GWAM.  The first six weeks will be graded mainly on completion of work, effort, and posture and technique. The last 2 six weeks will be heavily weighted by GWAM, speed tests, and document preparation. Students ware expected to achieve their maximum GWAM by the middle of the 3rd six weeks.
