October Meeting Notes

 

Heart of Texas Fair & Rodeo

                 *Show Schedule is attached

                 *Livestock Judging

                                  -Be at main arena at 7:30 with $5, pencil & clip board

         -Grapevine-Colleyville Friends & Family will give a trophy to the   high point individual from our chapter

Barn

*Roll off dumpster is only for organic material. Please do not throw trash in there.

*Barn Clean up is working well for the most part. Please show up as well as arrive on time.

*Let Mrs. Bufe know by October 15 if you need to change days

 

FFA Membership

                 *Must be a member to show at the majors as well as county show

                 *Dues are $30 and check are made out to G-C FFA

 

Goblin Day

                 *Dippin Dots will be sold after the Pep Rally on Friday October 26^th

                 ^*Sell for $3

                 *Need students to volunteer to sell

                 ^*Mrs. Feemster & Mrs. Harkenrider have volunteered to help

 

Goat & Lamb Validations

                 *October 18^th from 3-6 pm

                 *Parent must be there to sign ethics form

                 *Tags were ordered in August. Check with Mrs. Bufe if you are unsure if     you ordered one

                

County Entries & Spring Major Shows

                 *Due at the November meeting-Parent must come with you.

                 *Download and fill out cost sheet before the meeting

                 *Make checks payable to Grapevine-Colleyville FFA

 

County Show Sale

                 *Will approach differently than last year

-Get pledges (sample letter attached)

                                  -Will invoice in February for the money

                                  -Parents’ work may have matching funds

 

H0mecoming Float

                 *Anyone interested?

                 *Can just ride in the back 0f a pickup

 

Christmas Float

                 *Work days are scheduled for 11/4, 11/11, & 11/25 at 2:00 pm

                 *Need a flat bed trailer

                 *Parade 11/29

                                 

 

 

FFA Meat Sales

                 *Begins today

                 *Duration- two weeks

                 *Collect money when delivered

                 *Check payable to G-C FFA

                 *Black t-shirts are here.

                 *Jason Lyman and Mr. Harkenrider for hauling animals to East Texas
