Extended Learning Experience Activities to enhance and extend learning in the core content areas are available in some grade levels. Extended Learning Experiences are scheduled by the classroom teacher when needed. Not all students participate in these classes. Most ELE classes meet for 1 hour weekly.   Opportunities for ELE are currently being offered in second, third, fourth and fifth grades. In second grade our current focus is math. Writing skills are targeted in third and fourth grade. Fourth graders also participate in activities following the Future Problem Solving Program and the Hands-on-Equations Program. Fifth graders will continue to explore these two programs which they began last year.
